Virtual Machinist began with the idea of inserting oneself into a different reality, be it ARGs or virtual worlds - to a degree that original concept remains. Of course, time has a way of warping things, and the record became more about the connection between human and software, as much as my own connections with people. In cyberspace, face to face, or otherwise.

Virtual Machinist is an attempt to address those connections. Frantic energies versus space. Drones against drums. Digital attacks analog. Aggressive takes on calm. There's always reference points to fall back on.
